I love how the last 2 trips included a photo op on Friday closer to his club in Florida so that he can hide his transportation costs.

And I loved how Obama's photo ops coincided with Democratic fundraising events.

he won by 80k votes in three contested counties in swing states with the help of Russia against one of the most villified politicians of all time.

Id say no. and he lost the popular

What does any of that have to do with the question you asked? You asked for one time he was tough and stood up to someone, so I gave you one. Then you come back with that drivel that is completely unrelated to what you asked. I understand moving the goalpost though, since my answer didn't fit your narrative.

the media,

if anything the media absolutely helped him and gave him a much bigger platform than anyone else running... to his credit, he used all the free air time to his benefit...

the establishment

please elaborate.... because he has more than enough "establishment" all over his cabinet, and many of the old timers in congress are standing with him and they sure as hell are the "establishment"

won the election

he did... good thing we are still stuck in the 1700's with the electoral college, huh? amazing how he was so against it when Obama won, but didn't say shite when he benefited from... but i do support what he said about it in 2012.... here:
quote:

“He [Obama] lost the popular vote by a lot and won the election. We should have a revolution in this country!” (Nov. 6)

"Lets fight like hell and stop this great and disgusting injustice! The world is laughing at us. (Nov.6)

" We can't let this happen. We should march on Washington and stop this travesty. Our nation is totally divided! (Nov. 6)

“The phoney [sic] electoral college made a laughing stock out of our nation. The loser one!” (Nov. 6)

"The electoral college is a disaster for a democracy. (Nov.6)

“More votes equals a loss…revolution!” (Nov. 7)

That was a shot at Obama who claimed that. Sorry you weren't smart enough for it to not go over your head.

You think the media helped him win? You cannot be serious.

They were not behind him prior to his winning. You do remember all the Never Trumpers in the Republican party that were against him every step of the way, correct? All those news reports of letters signed by many staffer and military officers from Republican administrations that were endorsing Clinton.

Were the rules changed before the election? How come there was no outrage by people before the election when they were too busy saying he had no path, no path, to 270?

He did criticize it in 2012, but it's the way elections are won in our country. Him complaining didn't change anything, so he did what successful people do, adapt and beat them at their own game. You can whine about it too if it makes you feel better.
