Nope, but they do have some commonality.

They believe in a supreme being? Because that is where they separate by and large...you're really not making much sense today there Boss!

In your zeal to make a platitude based point, you're discrediting yourself in the process with statements like this...

That's part of it, yes. You say that like it's an absolute positive.

Not really. Most religions have quite a few things in common, including Islam and Christianity.

You not liking it doesn't discredit it.

When this started on Obama's watch in Cairo he stood by and did absolutely nothing and installed muslim brotherhood-Morsi.

He did take some action in giving world terrorists plane loads of cash and gold, fighter jets, The muslim brotherhood Morsi F-16 fighter jets.

And here we are today, in MSM news... wondering if the President that can clean this Obama dumpster fire up, President Trump-- likes Russian Salad dressing and is a KGB agent.

It is astounding.

Actually, I was responding to genuineLSUteger when he said:
Thanks for nothing religion.

However, I would be careful about generalizing anybody whether is is religious people, gays, Democrats, Republicans.....it's too easy to generalize and much harder to defend.

For my point, I feel OK about it.

Religion gives these people some sort of validation in their minds for what they are doing.

That's not to say everyone who is religious is in that same category, but that's a separate topic.

Gotcha. This was the hangup.

And yet he insinuated that if a person of religion kills someone it is "Thanks religion."?

Sad news. One day God will give justice to those heathens who slaughter innocents. They better enjoy what remains of their earthly lives because they are living their best lives now.

Ok, I didn't say they had nothing in common but their concept of God is different, their concept of salvation is different, their concept of just about every major tenet and point is different...but have some Muslims bust into a joint and blow the place up then the reply is "Thanks religion!" Yep, totally comparable there...

False premise...I can dislike it and it can be demonstrably false as well with YOUR being wrong. Good people of faith do many good things regularly on a daily basis based upon what their faith has taught them and how to conduct themselves to do righteous things. I am sure you will come up with some nebulous jargon to challenge what the definition of "good" is but at a certain point, yes your statements readily discredit themselves.

Cool. I'm not particularly concerned with the nuances of each different mythology.

Do you believe their religion was not a significant factor in their actions?

Yet you offered nothing of value, other than not liking it.

Do you think their faith is the primary driver? Good people with no faith do many good things regularly on a daily basis based on what they have been taught.

The caliphate is probably no more that forty to fifty years away at this point. The numbers and demographics are on the side of the Muslims and they are just much more committed to their god and religion than Christians are. They are also masters of asymmetric warfare. It is simply impossible to wipe them out in huge enough numbers to eradicate the problem. There seem to be three more to take the place of every one killed.

There's a way, but it's brutal and unfair. Until enough people in a given country under attack by these shitpies are willing to go there they will continue to see this level of violence.

When does Shep Smith come on the air?

I am waiting for him to check their boots and purses before I make any conclusions.

ignore the brilliant "anti-religion" troll. it is not worth your time. if you add together the people killed in the name of Stalin's, Mussolini's and Hitler's atheism alone, Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, and Hinduism still have catching up to do with DisplacedBuckeye's personal religion.

Plus DB isn't going to back down no matter how wrong he is. He will just twist some word or phrase to his liking to redirect the conversation all while claiming to not care about the opinions of a person he is desperately trying to respond to on an opinion sharing message board.
