A lot of you got your wish, we will see how much comes out...

I'm more looking forward to the bolded part of this blurb... I know what the excuse will be, but interested to hear her squirm.

quote:

Mr. Gruber, who declined to comment Monday before the hearing, said that he regretted the remarks.

But Republicans seized on his speeches as proof of an underhanded scheme to obscure Obamacare’s impact before it passed in 2010.

“Together, such statements and Mr. Gruber’s recently-uncovered comments highlight that the 2010 healthcare law was bad policy, passed deceptively, and it needs to be repealed,” said Rep. Jim Jordan, Ohio Republican, who serves on the committee.

Democrats are scrambling to put distance — literally — between themselves and Mr. Gruber.

Marilyn Tavenner, the administrator at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, was called to testify alongside Mr. Gruber at the hearing, but an assistant Health and Human Services secretary sent a letter to the committee asking if she could testify on her own.

Committee Chairman Darrell Issa didn’t release ground rules for the hearing by late Monday, although a spokeswoman last week said “at past hearings, government officials have testified alongside other non-administration witnesses.”

Republican investigators want Mrs. Tavenner to explain why 400,000 dental plans were included in Obamacare enrollment figures reported in the weeks leading up to the second round of open enrollment.

Will be drowned out by all the discussion of the Senate Dems' release of the one-sided report on enhanced interrogation during the Bush Administration.

They needed those extra numbers reported to reach their goal. I mean didn't anyone question the big jump in numbers right at the end of the deadline, to reach their projected solvency numbers??? Its all been lies, this whole Administration has built everything on, lies, and Gruber will be proven right, "call it the stupidity of the American voter"...

I don't have an issue with this statement... Its true. A ton of the American public is indeed stupid.

But that doesn't excuse the outright deceit used to pass this legislation. Especially his quote that they purposely crafted and spun words so that it didn't come across as a tax, because they didn't think it would be upheld. But jokes on them, they didn't realize Roberts was that big of a dipshit. He is one of the stupid Americans he referred to.

Will they be able to tell if he's lying?

I will be very surprised if he doesn't plead the 5th. But either way, nothing will come from this hearing.

The repubs have exactly what they want. They have the House and Senate. Its time to put up or shut up.

Roberts saved their bacon by agreeing it was a tax - without that it would have been ruled unconstitutional.

The joke is on the American taxpayer - as usual with this admin.

Nothing but purposeful deceit and outright lies.

Gruber to face hostile House panel, tea party ‘I’m with Stupid’ T-shirts

By Tom Howell Jr. - The Washington Times - Monday, December 8, 2014
A tea party group said its members will greet Jonathan Gruber, the man at the center of Obamacare’s troubled public image, with T-shirts reading “I’m with Stupid” when he shows up to defend himself Tuesday before what’s likely to be a hostile congressional panel.

I'd have preferred:

"Stupid Lives Matter"

or

"Plans (insurance) up...don't vote"

But, I'm kinda insensitive

Is he being charged with something other than being an elitist tPOS?

Probably not. The repubs will be stupid if they ever give him a chance to explain anything. He can always take the dem witness precedent during whitewater where a Clinton operative swore he'd lied to his diary. "Yes it's true I verbalized those utterances, but I was just pandering to the prejudices of my audience. I've never felt the American public is stupid...blah blah blah."

OTOH, this boob may be so egotistical that he thinks his mental horsepower will overwhelm his opponents. If that's the case, we may not see political porn like it again in our lifetimes.

That bych lied under oath, she knew exactly what she was doing, helping Odummy reach his stated goals.
