quote:

Two juveniles are in custody and could be charged in the fatal shooting of an Illinois congressman's grandson following a dispute over a pair of basketball shoes, a Chicago police spokeswoman said on Saturday.

quote:

Davis said he was told a 15-year-old boy had traded slacks for shoes with Wilson's 14-year-old brother, but thought better of the trade and went to Wilson's house with a 17-year-old girl. He said the pair forced their way in the house and argued with Wilson before the boy pulled a gun and fired.

quote:

Davis, who was re-elected this month to his 11th term in the 7th Congressional District and is a former Chicago alderman, was in Chicago on Friday and spoke with reporters after talking to police. He wondered how the shooter obtained the gun and said he'd continue to try to combat gun violence.

quote:

"The question becomes where does a 15-year-old obtain a gun? Who let the 15-year-old have a gun and under what circumstances?" Davis asked. "There's no answer for that except that the availability of guns is so prevalent in America to the point where you almost can't tell who has a gun" anymore.

Probably not a legal gun danny boy, and good lord 11 terms, get these clowns like him and sheila jackson lee outta here already

Terrible and I feel for him but as usual, liberals want to attack the gun and not the culture that created the kid willing to shoot someone over sneakers.

THAT'S the question?! How about asking what would make a person kill over a fricking pair of shoes?

It's as if he would have been ok w/ the murder, so long as it was done w/ anything else but a gun.

These people are insane.

So true. I should be out using a man's grandkid's murder as motive to remove them from office. I wonder where the frick my manners went.

It's his 11th term and the guy says dumb stuff like it's a guns fault his grandson died and not shite parenting by the shooters mom and dad that caused his grandson to die

Sounds like shite parenting on everybody involved. I loved my father dearly, but if he had used one of my children's death to make a political statement, our next meeting would have been traumatic for both of us.

Damn shame, but a product of the Chicago culture.

But yea, let's blame the government...

Gun, knife, bat, choking.

Was probably a bad trade deal because the Timberland pant size sticker was removed from said khakis...

However, if said sticker was still present, kid would brobably be still walking around today..
