Republicans really need to have a convention to decide what a "wall" really means. I've heard so many different things from different Republicans that it's getting exhausting.

We need the wall to prevent open borders republicans and democrats from neglecting the border and enforcing immigration laws.
It's a necessary safeguard against future open borders administrations.

Besides, why in the hell would Graham cover for Trump in the first place? His erections was handled after Trump bombed Syria, but only temporarily.

I measured the border with Mexico myself on Google Earth. I don't know where Graham is getting 2200 miles. It's just under 2000.
And FWIW only about 1000 miles needs a wall. The other parts are WAY too dangerous to cross (unless you are pretty sophisticated).
Remember the purpose of a wall. It funnels people to certain points along the border to help make Border Patrol's job easier.
