The Dems don't have anyone to run that can pull the independent or middle of the road democrats. Same thing will happen as this past election, non-liberal democrats will stay home and middle America will vote Trump.

There is such little chance of removal so I'd assume he stays his full term until presented with evidence to suggest otherwise. (Of which there has been zero)
If the Dems find a decent candidate (looking like a stretch as of now), Trump would have a fight in 2020. I wouldn't be surprised if he had a primary challenger, even as taboo as an incumbent primary challenge is for POTUS.
