George W Bush made Iran more powerful.

By overthowing Saddam Hussein. Iraq under Hussein kept Iran in check. Then Obama, Biden, and Kerry gave them the cash to build up their military capabilities.

Deposing Hussein was a stupid move that only correspondingly stupid people could make. You’re exactly right about the Iran point you made. But additionally he was the best possible person to keep at bay the same exact terrorism incubation that they actually accused him of fostering. Reason is blatantly simple: Saddam was a secular strongman dictator who viewed the universe of Islamic extremism and its tactics and its thinking and the ability of it to spread so widely in the shadows as a direct threat to his total grip on power. That was a threat to the existence of his regime and “dynasty.”
And the beautiful part of it was that he had no laws or rules or pesky human rights concerns to be bothered with. By golly if he had reason to believe or it came to his attention that someone or something was out there rabble rousing and stirring up trouble of that Islamic extremist sort…..whether the “intelligence” was accurate or not, you’re going bye bye anyway and it wasn’t gonna be a pleasant experience.
That’s all I got. For now.

Iran was a staunch USA ally until Carter. Then the new enemy Iran was legitimized, bolstered, and enriched by Obama and his sock-puppet Biden.
Those are more meaningful facts relative to the situation in Middle East today.

Well, we forced the friendship.

Following WWII, nationalistic sentiments were on the rise in the Middle East, most notably in Iran, and the Iranian parliament voted to nationalize the oil industry; at the same time, the public elected Mohammed Mossadegh as Prime Minister, causing the Abadan Crisis.
Britain was unable to subvert Mossadegh, so British and American intelligence agencies orchestrated a coup d’état to overthrow him and bring Reza Pahlavi back onto the throne.

The ousting of the Shah and rise of the Ayatollah wasn't necessarily Carter's fault. We had just come out of a war in Vietnam that had become extremely unpopular in the late sixties/early seventies. Carter was not about to get us involved in another unpopular war, thus the US did nothing to prevent Islamic militants from deposing the Shah and installing their own despot.
Then, in providing political asylum for the Shah the Carter administration pissed off the new regime in Iran who then assaulted the US embassy in Tehran and took Americans hostage. From that point on it was very delicate and touch-and-go.
Carter did the right thing in 1980 by sending a military force to rescue the hostages, but our military and its equipment weren't up to the task of operating in desert conditions. Essentially it was sand that caused the failure of that mission. Clogged up the engines on the helicopters and grounded them out of reach of repair crews.
Carter wasn't the best of our presidents by a long shot, but he inherited a world of shite to have to deal with early in his term.
Obama, giving pallets of cash to Iran, however, can not be excused. That was an intentional move that was undoubtedly meant to be detrimental to the US and future policy that was part of his "fundamentally changing" America. And here we sit in 2024 with bumbling Joe wandering around in a daze while Obama runs things for a third term and lets the doddering, old fool from Delaware take the blame for it.

Imagine that.
Iran uses the same missile systems as Hamas.......
Shoot it into the air and see where it lands .....

Our military presence abroad makes all of our enemies more powerful.

George W. Bush is the orginal RINO! His second term was where he morphed himself into a Democrat or at least he was more sympathetic to the Democrat values!

That's an interesting way of describing a coup.

There was a reason Saddam killed a lot of his own people.
They needed killing

When you talk about the Deep State, Bush was the architect.

I spent a lot of time defending W against Lib co-workers back in the day (back in those days you could still have spirited debates and still hang out for beer afterwards).
I regret doing so in hindsight but before Trump pulled the curtain on Oz in 2016, I still had some faith in the GOP.

Bush Sr did not "finish the job" in Iraq because he thought it would cause rise to Iran with nothing to check them....he was right.

I hope Iran wipes Israel off the map so we can get back to being a sovereign country

Absolutely. Other nations build up their military in response to our global overreach.
Lots of downvotes for speaking truth.

And without all the red tape. That kinda program is most effective when the penalty immediately follows the violation. Back then you might be stirring up trouble at a 10:00 a.m. radical extremist meeting, then being thrown into a cage with a couple of tigers by 2:00 that afternoon. When the news of that hits the streets people tend not to frick around as much.
