Gawd dam, Tucker undressed this clown from CA, Rep Eric Swallowell

Tucker was on a fricking roll, had Mr Swallowell on the ropes with a simple question. (paraphrased) "do you believe Russia cost HRC the election?" This fool says that Russia was tearing HRC down while elevating Trump in a positive manner. I saw the stat after the GE that said Trump had over 90% negative coverage from the MSM but somehow Russia cost HRC the election because they made her look bad, just frick me silly!

I watched and have come to the conclusion that Tucker Carlson has got to be one of the wisest and most intelligent news commentators/interviewers alive now.

To be fair, plenty of his guests are straight up idiots and basically a punching bag for him to beat on.
Also helps knowing the guests political views so you can position the questions to make them look like idiots.
I know they're on time constraints, but he rarely ever let's the person actually answer the question. He asks the question and once the person starts to answer and fumbles for a split second, he jumps in with a gotcha line and cuts them off.

He's also unaware that if Gorsuch did that, it would be a violation of judicial ethics. He'd be commenting on a case that is likely to appear before him.

That's why I dismissed the idea of calling him wise. He never has to think on his feet for anything. He asks a question, which he already knows the answer to, and before the answer comes he cuts them off and laughs at them.
I'm not a liberal or left but the way this guy is applauded on this board is hysterical.
This guy is the equivalent of lsu playing high school teams every night. He should grab his balls and opinion and get someone on there that can stand their ground.

Actually the better part of the segment was when Tucker put Swallowell into stammer and pucker mode.
He asks Swallowell short of launching a war against Russia for interfering in the US elections what should the US do to punish Russia?
Swallowell says "we need to increase sanctions on Russia and take away their European market for LNG". So Tucker says "would you be willing to ramp up US production of LNG and supply Europe with LNG because I think that's a good thing?". Dude completely locks up because he knows if he agrees with Tucker his snowflake environmental constituents are going to kick his arse to the curb.

Tucker has smarter guest from the other side all the time. They usually end up agreeing about the problem but end up agreeing to disagree about the solution. You never hear about it because the debate is quite benign.
