i had to call. they were all answering no fuel. then one that answered I have fuel, ran out of fuel 30 miles getting there. I finally just found the last gas station with fuel. the lines started after pulling in. they will be out today if not by 9AM. gas buddy is accurate, it is people reporting and it is accurate.

because we were so hard hit with Hurricane Florence. people have filled gas cans and tanks.

I went out 30 minutes ago because I knew my gas light was on from the last time out. 2 closest stations were out despite both getting a truck in the afternoon. Figured 4 am would avoid "the rush". Indeed it did. Next station is further than I want to ride with a light on.

GasBuddy was just dying and not giving data.

Gasbuddy did me right this morning.

Got to QT and nearly every pump was occupied but there were no lines. Unleaded only, but @ 2.89, I won’t complain.

Long lines yesterday at the Sams on Lakeshore (BHM). Last night, several local stations had run out of gas in Vestavia. Lines formed at the local and independantly operated stations.

Wife informed me by phone this morning, all gas stations she passed on the way to work had no traffic and were out of gas.

I expect the major cities are impacted the worst (I've read panic buying has resulted in 5 times the normal sales).

What stunned me was watching the local news last night; not only ignoring this situation but talking about weather if you are traveling to the beach. ** thought it was funny the news station which ignored the story last night had a camera crew at one of the empty stations this morning. Nice work guys... while you were sleeping **

I know Gov. Ivey said there are no shortages, but they should have told people to be mindful of their plans.

UPDATE at time noted after take family member to day facility. 4 out of 11 gas stations in the area south of Birmingham I passed had gas. 2 smaller stations and 2 large (with one of those having a tanker).

You don’t even realize radish is a complement considering it’s you.

Just came back from filling up in Central. Walmart on Hooper is 2.49, people were lined up, several pumps shut off, and the pump I used ran very slow (usu a sign of being low). Couple of guys joking about "where's the hurricane?"
The Mobil next door is completely dry.

Why the frick are people in Louisiana panic buying gasoline?

gas buddy hasn't been accurate up here or working with a frick

I drove like 10 miles north of my house and found a station that had no lines basically. I want to say not even every pump had a car at it.

I filled up the car since wife has a pretty long commute and then looked like a jackass because I had one gas can but that was because my niece decided to not listen to shite and let her car get to 18 miles left so I said frick it.

I also passed up two stations that had lines on the way to this one

I saw my first "out of gas" sign today in Covington - the Racetrac on 190. Also, a friend of mine who works at Lowes said they can't keep gas cans on the shelves. My employer has advised us to top up our vehicles today.

Update May 12 in central NC.

Gas tankers arrived this morning to refill the stations. Every station near me has at least a dozen cars (2-3x that at the larger stations) waiting in line.

I have not even tried to go into the larger areas, but it's even worse there from what I've heard.

In the 70s folks would start lining up when they saw a station getting a delivery.

Neither does NJ, but NJ has multiple pipelines and other sources.
