quote:

Gary Landrieu, an independent who is running a little chance campaign for Louisiana governor, is facing backlash after he used the n-word on local talk radio.

quote:

“Let me tell you, when I was a kid we learned about protecting ourselves and defending ourselves because we were called a lot of ugly names as children,” Landrieu said during an episode of “The Right Chicks” on New Orleans’ WGSO 990 show this week. "As an eight-year-old, they called me, ‘Oh, there’s the n*****-lovers right there." Landrieu, a cousin of former New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu and former U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu, was chided by the hosts of the show.

Yikes! I get what he was trying to say, but as a cracker, he should have used better judgement.

I think it was used appropriately. I see no foul here.

Agreed, but what do you think the reaction would be if this were Trump in the exact same scenario? So frick him. They created these rules, so we will play by them and win at their game

Imagine if that word was used in rap music how accessible it would be the rest of the planet. Oh wait....

I have no sympathy for the word considering how widely it is used by non whites. If it is that bad, nobody should use it.

So? No care here.

Serious. It's a word. "But, but it means something something!"

I'm conflicted.

Saying "n-word" rather than just the actual word when not using it in a derogatory manner is flat out pathetic.

But, then again. He belongs to the group that created that pathetic paradigm and caters to it

Let me fix this quote for you:

"Gary Landrieu, a former cousin of past New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu and former U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu."

Motha efffin this!!!!!!!

I will never believe or take this work as being offensive or an issue and it’s everywhere you look and listen in today’s urban culture. If it’s offensive, it’s offensive. Can’t cry racism out of one side of your mouth then speak the word/support those who do out the other.

How in the world do a single word gain so much power? It’s just a word.

There is nothing wrong with this context.

People are too damn sensitive.

Gary is such a frickup that I often wonder if Mitch and Mary pay him to run just to make the GOP look bad.
