but, but, but - "settled science"

I guess our friends on the left just aren't interested in exploring dissenting opinions; even to the point where actual evidence that does not support the narrative is "anti science"

so sad

A climatologist at Georgia Institute of Technology resigned from her post because she could no longer navigate the stifling political orthodoxy on climate change.

Former chair of the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Georgia Tech Judith Curry announced her resignation in a blog post on Tuesday. While he resignation is technically "a retirement event," and she is "cashing out" to get her pension, Curry explained that "the deeper reasons have to do with my growing disenchantment with universities, the academic field of climate science and scientists."

I was listening to Randall Carlson on youtube from a link someone on another thread had posted, the dude is all over this AGW bull shite and he's one of the most informed researchers concerning drastic changes in the Earth's climate.

Guess what, Carlson believes man does contribute to climate change but that anthropogenic contribution is insignificant in the grand scheme of global climate. He has researched more layers of the earths upper crust and has determined all drastic changes in the Earth's climate has been caused primarily from meteorites and comets. Either one of these bodies with significant mass hitting the Earth causes a chain reaction of earthquakes and volcanic activity which reinforces the calamitous event. I think the only way man could effect climate change on a global scale would be an all out nuclear war with thousands of H bombs being detonated in a dooms day scenario.

The layers in the earth don't lie, especially the iridium layer. Man is like a piss ant on an elephants arse when it come to climate change.

She was on Tucker last night. She is a very smart person who got tired of the PC science BS.

At the heart of the current climate change hysteria is hubris...that humans are just that goddamned special and powerful that they can alter such a massive and complex system.

That's part of it. The other is profiteering and global social engineering through control over economic systems.

this is what makes the most sense

we all want clean air and water

we all want national parks that preserve wildlife

but do we have to sacrifice American competitiveness to get there?

the whole "global warming/cooling climate change" deal is being used as a big stick to harass American industry

and anyone who questions the "settled science" is ostracized

Carlson might as well believe in the hollow earth theory. All of his research is dismissed by the mainstream academicians because he never officially received his PHD. His theories are on point and he probably has put more geological research time in than 99% of his detractors, but they just treat him like a hairshirt kook.
