The bulk of the budget (red) is on autopilot). We need to start making some cuts here.

$81 billion can be cut immediately with the EITC/Child Tax Credits.

Incredibly appropriate that Social Security is the top of the Pyramid.

I'm sure that's just thousands of smaller line items lumped in together.

The red is what is killing this country.

We could slash our military spending by half and still be far and away the most well funded military in the world. I've never understood the GOP's conservative claims but the utterance of a reduction in military spending makes them lose their minds. They're happy to let that number bloat out of control because apparently a core of conservatism is an infinitely funded military.

We can do that by physically getting out of foreign countries. The technology now exists that will allow us to keep tabs on them from within our own borders.

I'm all for miliary budget cuts, but that chart is misleading. Purchasing power parity closes that spending gap significantly with China and Russia.

Truth. And the biggest chunks are Social Security, Medicare and Defense. The budget can never be balanced without addresses those things.

Cutting a few percent or here, isn't going to hurt but it won't do anything over the long term.

Let's get the feds out of the retirement, housing, education, and health businesses. Let's broaden the tax base by eliminating most any tax credits and lowering the tax rate.

Nice graph. Shows how the Republicans and Trump have no intention to cut any of the actual cost drivers of the deficit. Playing y'all for fools since 1980...
