Did the world used to be a place where I could yell all the vulgarities and obscenities in public that I like and expect to keep my job and my place on the football team?
When did that change?

Sorry but I was under the impression 50 years ago people expected BETTER manners than they do today.

So if Winston hired an attorney and challenged the punishment in court because he thought it was a violation of his First Amendment right of freedom of expression then you think that would be "furthering the 'pussification of America'"?

Those people are preventing any punishment from being enacted for an inappropriate act, thus they are for the downfall of America's moral system.

Defending your own or someone else's First Amendment right to freedom of expression means you are in favor of the downfall of America's moral system?

Just think if some big shot gambler paid a players estranged GF a fat sum of money to get the guy out of the game.

Why not just pay someone to break Winston's arm or his foot? That seems like a more sure bet.

Of course it doesn't involve getting to blame a woman - so I can see why it would be less attractive to you.

Actually yes one could. When I grew up people said whatever was on their minds and if you didn't like it, you ignored it or you did something to that person. This guy is about 20 years old, and though what he said was childish, it's no crime or event worthy of a benching. I'm pretty sure the coach is pressured by recent world events to do something drastic. It's getting really stupid that people are so offended by words

What "moral value" of this country am I not upholding by supporting everyone's First Amendment right of freedom of expression even if it offends someone?

Maybe where you're from.

Where I grew up, people were decent and had common manners.

Ahh. So suspending someone from the football team isn't "doing something"

Got it.

I bet some of these thug Winston defenders get their panties in a wad when they here the black people with their rap playing too loudly.

I believe in the constitution and free speach.
You tards aren't looking at this kids recent history.
I bet there are also several items in the student hand book as well as in his athletic scholarship papers that point out that acting like he did is against the rules.

This is the correct answer. Winston should at a minimum been put on probation for theft. Not using the correct fork in the mess should have gotten him expelled. Florida State continues to show it is one of the most disgusting academic institutions in the country.

I'll break it down for you. If someone did something that offended you directly, you dealt directly with the person who offended you and then it was over.
This era that we now live in, apparently everyone is so sensitive that entire groups must be sheltered from words.

In the past, if you yelled vulgarities and obscenities in public then you could be arrested for disturbing the peace.

However, it wasn't a crime if what you said offended someone.

Today, if you yell vulgarities and obscenities in public then you still can be arrested for disturbing the peace.

However, people like you also want it to be a crime if what someone yells offends someone.

Sorry but I don't agree with you about that.

Sounds like white culture. Be careful about forcing your values onto others. Someone might call you a racist.

No one is defending what Winston said. We are defending his right to say it even if it offends someone.

BTW, I find it hilarious that you call those people "tards" yet you are the one who misspells "speech" as "speach", "hear" as "here" and "kid's" as "kids".

What alternate bizarre universe do you delusional motherfrickers live in?

Let's try an experiment. Next time you're at work, church, school, etc... Stand up on a table in front of every one and scream "frick HER IN THE PUSSY!" and if you're a particularly bold freedom fighter we can substitute, "count" for "pussy", and "that bitch" for "her," since some of you seem to be so bold.

Let us know how that goes when you get fired/removed/expelled.

At no point in my lifetime would I ever have not been thrown out of school, or fired from my job for such actions.

The dumb on this board never ceases to amaze me.

He has the right to say whatever the frick he wants and not be silenced by the United States Government.

He does not have carte blanche to say whatever the frick he wants and fear no consequences from the people who supply his scholarship.

You are a fricking moron.
