Gunning for the anti-Russian sympathy vote, and perhaps anticipating a Hillry-type outcome in the coming presidential elections, French presidential candidate Emmanuel Macron who is currently in second place in the polls with a 22% approval rating, behind Le Pen at 27%, said on Monday he was the target of Russian media "fake news" and his campaign is facing thousands of cyber attacks, according to his party chief.

Richard Ferrand, secretary-general of Macron's En Marche! (Onwards!) party, said that Russian state-controlled media Russia Today and Sputnik had spread false reports with the aim of swinging public opinion against Macron.

Eh.... Le Pen will win the first round then get swamped in the run off- its like when a Democratic Senate candidate wins the Louisiana "jungle primary"- sure they had say 35% but the two major Republicans each had 28% so in the runoff the Dem loses badly.

It's been a while but I think the French actually have a term or idom for this phenomenon- it happened with Le Pen pere at least once.

This isn't head to head, right?

Macron looks to roll in the second round of voting, despite Vladimir's and Julian's best efforts.

Didn't you predict Hillary to walk into the White House back in November?

Only a Le Pen win in the first round is something both expected and well precedented

Out of curiosity have you ever thought maybe the reason these peolle keep alleging Russia is behind hacks and funding is because Russia is behind hacks and funding?

In Le Pen's case for example she literally is bankrollimg her party on the back of loans from a Russian controlled bank.

JBE as Governor disproves this theory. The 2015 election had JBE getting 41% and three republicans each getting 15-23% in the first round and JBE won by 11 points in the runoff. Sure it requires a perfect storm to happen but the capability is there.

Who's to say the same can't happen in France?

Of course they are. The Russians are the grand puppet masters and the rest of the world is simply marionettes, who's strings are manipulated by Putin and his henchmen.

Hey you think conservative voters are going to for a left wing candidate? Please tell me your reason behind this logic? If this was the case why didn't Clinton get all those republicans to vote for her?

Macron isn't a communist. He isn't really a socialist anymore either. He's a Tony Blair type.
