So what happens to the gulf coast when we get a major hurricane that knocks out electricity and a large portion of customers are without power for 3+ weeks. They then lose the ability to go to the gas station to get fuel for their generator to run at least the fridge to keep their infants milk from spoiling and maybe a small AC unit. I don’t have a problem with evs but this whole ‘all vehicles must be EV in the future’ idea is incredibly short sighted if not down right ignorant. The ICE revolutionized pretty much everything in a way that EVs have not been proven to be able to do much less replace.

just got back from quick trip to disney, took my daughter, in the MK parking lot I saw a total of 6 charging ports, out of thousands of spots

The current CEO is shameless.
They've obviously jumped all in with government and the green movement but what got me was the CEO going on Mad Money, pretending Ford is a tech company because they partnered with Salesforce to put their software in the new electric trucks. The EV bros online were eating it up.
I then made some decent beer money shorting tgeir stock from $23ish to $17.

They are all in (Ford) by the commercials/adds that they are putting out but, for folks like me, that haul substantial loads, an EV won't and never will cut it. Not sure what Ram and Chevy are doing but, I may have to look to them in the future.

What white collar jobs are we talking about? Are they eliminating or moving? The global company I worked for moved most of their N. American accounting jobs to Central America.
