No, the stupidity part is you stating something as fact thinking other people would swallow it and that fact being exposed as bs. That's what you lefties do all the time. You just failed at it this time.

My original post to you was about you misconstruing the truth in trying to put credence in your opinion.

Undoubtedly it went over your head.

And the left is awful for trying to make him into a posthumous saint.

You know the spirit of the comment.
My comment was meant to poke fun at the university for awarding a bogus title based on race. I singled out chemistry due to the ingredients that are often used in "purple drank" which were purchased by Trayvon the night of his death.

I apologize if you were offended by my remarks. They were meant in jest and were intended to point out the absurdity of the university while highlighting the controversial nature of Trayvon's shopping choices. I assumed that point of context was well known by now.

The left? The university his mother went to is doing something nice for her. What's the crime in that? If it gives her a few happy moments, don't you think she deserves that? God forbid someone here someday loses a child to an early death.

Jesus. I know this is a politics board, but it's sad some can't put the politics aside for one second and display an ounce of human compassion.

Ill take sides with those folks over the human waste in this thread literally dancing about a teenager getting shot.
Do liberals over reach with some of this stuff? Yes.
Was the kid perfect? No.

But if selling weed and getting in trouble at school makes you a "thug pos" and the world is better off without you.. I have news for you racist devils: a lot of your kids have probably done as bad or worse behind your backs. They are kids.

You folks are awful people and should be ashamed... But you are too morally derelict to feel anything close to that.

Frankly, no I don't think she "deserves" this.

What a hilarious statement.

But, who cares schools hand out honorary degrees all the time, they mean nothing.

I was speaking generally, just as TigerDev was. I sympathize with the parents for their loss (and nothing else) and don't have a problem with the university doing whatever they want.

If you'd like to pretend the left has not tried to posthumously award him sainthood, you are welcome to that delusion.

I didn't go google FMU and made an assumption it was an online college. It's not and I've already noted your correction.

What you're missing is that online college or not it makes zero difference that it's absurd for you to consider this to be some cataclysmic event, signaling of depravity.

You harping on me being wrong about FMU being an online college is just a weak attempt to detract attention from your lame as comment, as is your assumption that I'm a "lefty."

Mea culpa. I actually enjoy your posts as you're one of the few that takes time to answer questions when others express doubt about Christianity.

I think I overreacted.

I understand this general sentiment. You do notice that there's overreach on this. As long as you understand the reveling is driven by the overreach, you'll understand it better. It doesn't excuse the reveling. It does explain it.

The reality is that not many people gave a shite about Trayvon until they figured out they could make political hay upon the narrative being packaged by a storyteller. His entire life is really just a narrative driven by our individual ideologies. None of us know him.

I think it's a mistake to label him as a "thug POS" alone. It's also a mistake to gloss over his shortcomings as "everyone does this kind of thing." To some extent, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. And to some extent, he ended up exactly where one would expect given the trajectory of his life.

No problem. I admit that making a joke about this topic is borderline because it can be misconstrued, so perhaps it wasn't wise of me to do that.

Last sentence of your post is absurd if you have been his age in the last 20 years. As i said, i think a lot of people here would be very surprised at what their kids get up to if you think this kid was "in the game" or on a trajectory to die based on smoking weed and being suspended from school.

I doubt many of you would feel the same about a white kid with the same "record". Would you say you expect white guys who sell weed and get suspended to die?

So exposing a bullshite statement is considered a weak attempt? Why even make the statement then if you weren't sure of what you wrote. Like I said, people like you that post "facts" that are not facts lose a lot of credibility with your subsequent postings, imo.

That's on you, not me.

Exactly. Im at happy hours with Vp's listening to them talk about getting free beer from their buddy who was a stock boy at a grocery store back in high school. Some of these former private school kids were lunatics.

Flash forward to present day and They make decisions that impact thousands of people.

A white kid on dope, stealing and taking pictures with guns while smoking dope is also a TPOS.
