Both should keep Daniel on staff at CAO but I doubt they do

Bodi White is my state senator. I spoke with him for 20 minutes back in 2014 (along with 2 other constituents). He is absolutely clueless about any issue important to Louisiana or EBRP. He came over as an ignorant redneck. I didn't vote for Broome in the primary but I will Saturday.

Do you want St. George? Cause that's how you get St. George

FTR, I live in the proposed limit of St. George but I'll really get serious about job hunting in Texas if Broome is my Mayor and Edwards is our governor.

Oh please. I don't want either in office, but come on.

JBE will be gone after 2019. His one term is nothing more than a fluke.

Just move out of baton rouge into the AP, LP or somewhere on the North Shore.

Why is it that so many people in Louisiana complain about brain drain to Texas and other states then join that brain drain?

They move for better jobs and an affordable education for their kids.

I want St. George as an ISD.
City? I could take it or leave it.
Having the ISD tied to a city is ridiculous.

Fine. That's a good reason but don't be a hypocrite about brain drain in Louisiana.

No Louisiana people really want to move to Texas. However, the jobs just simply aren't here. It's rediculous. You have all of these companies based here, but none will hire you until after you've worked a few years uo in Texas, and then once you've worked your way up here, they won't promote you unless you go back to Texas. People lament the brain drain, but if the job opportunities are in Texas, where they can afford to live AND send their kids to school, they're going to go.

Those who lament the brain drain just want changes here to bring more jobs back here and to fix our public schools so that graduates don't have to leave to find work.

A family has to do what they have to do,
You expect a family to work hard, watch the education system around them decay, the better paying jobs vanish, and people just stay and accept things as they stagnate?

If the state legislature would get their heads out of their arse on this issue EBR wouldn't be in this St. George "fight".

It's a lot easier and feasible. We like to pretend that things will end up so much better here because a conservative may take back the governor's mansion. The truth of it is nothing will change here in a meaningful way as long as the majority of the population is fine with corruption and backwater economic policies.
