There was a few things on Trump's agenda i could get behind. Getting lobbyist out of the white house was a noble idea i guess because it sure didn't last long .

Sounds like something that needs additional context.

Lobbyists weren't the part of the swamp that Trump was going to drain. The entitled, lazy, and POS government workers that think the ppl are suppose to work for the government instead of the government working for the ppl are the part of the swamp that he was going to drain.

Aw come on. Trump said he was going to put a 5 year ban on executive branch employees from lobbying the government and was going to do it by law rather them executive order so it couldn't be easily reversed.

Exactly right. tRump's #1 priority is to help the obscenely rich get obscenely richer (see his budget and tax proposals). Lobbyists are a key part of that agenda.

The populist rhetoric he used on the campaign trail has turned out to be just that: pure rhetoric.

what does that have to do with the actual facts stated in this article. The fact that Trump is doing what he said he wouldn't and shocker trying to keep people from knowing about it.

Which means they were the POS government employees before they became POS lobbyists.

my problem is lobbyist coming straight from the private sector working on issue's they were lobbying for or against and then Trump seeking ethics waivers for the positions. Lets be honest Trump and the word ethics waiver do not need to be in the same sentence.

I have a problem with that, but it is not nearly as big of the problem that I have with government employees that are in charge of huge wasteful programs (i.e. B-21) taking jobs with the ppl they just awarded those contracts to (i.e. Nothrop).

ETA: I got my planes wrong. It was the B-21 not the F-35.

Two things could go a long way towards cleansing our political system. Overturn the Citizen's United decision and enact term limits for congressmen. The system is set up now for abuse, corruption and greed. It incentivizes sociopathic behavior not altruistic behavior. Until that changes, nothing else will.

You might want to start having a problem with that, because it happened under the most transparent admins in history.

quote:

General Mark Welsh who ended his 40-year military career this summer as the Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force, has joined the board of one of America’s largest defense contractors, Northrop Grumman. Of course, this is the same company that was selected to build America’s next stealth bomber—a contract that could be worth upwards of $100 billion, and one that was awarded under Welsh’s purview.

This is something that a lot of Trump supporters on this board should be criticizing. This won't get much traction, though. Meanwhile, Seth Rich conspiracy stories will go 10+ pages.

I wasn't trying to circle back to Odumbass. I was using that as an example of the POS government worker turned lobbyist bs that pisses me off way more than the POS lobbyist turned gobernment worker bs.
