Never, would be my guess.

Sad, but true.

If they begin to destroy private property, start shooting until they disperse. My guess is it won't take that long. Let everyone know the ground rules prior to the grand juries announcement, in order to avoid all confusion. Problem solved.

What about the grand jurors? I'm sure that they will need some sort of protection, no?

Sunday's tidbit:

quote:

The grand jury consists of six white men, three white women, two black women and one black man. Nine votes are needed to indict.

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the racial makeup of the grand jury is similar to the racial breakdown of St. Louis County, which is about 24 percent black and about 68 percent white.

The ages and hometowns of the jurors weren't released. A judge is expected to consider Monday whether to make that information public.

In this particular case, the judge would be a dumb arse to release any information about the grand jurors. Their life could be in danger.

My guess is that it's a battle over 2 schools of thought:

a. "Let's indict regardless of evidence. That way the trial can be on TV and the protesters can see the evidence for a not guilty verdict. Thus, no riots."

That outcome would not surprise me at all. However, the protestors won't watch the evidence they just want whitey's blood.

quote:

b. "Our job is to vote based on evidence. Not what might happen in a future trial."

I hope that this is the outcome (because based on the evidence so far I don't think wilson was in the wrong) and the authorities are taking every second of the legally allowed 48 hours and are making final preparations.

Agree, I've wondered from the start if the GJ has people in their ear saying "Lets go to trial in order to prevent unrest"

Protesters then moved to West Florissant Street and blocked traffic in front of a McDonald’s restaurant and chanted, “Who shut sh– down? We shut sh– down!” Warning: Video contains foul language.

Who do these clowns think works at McDonald's? What ethnic group does McDonald's predominantly give jobs to?

They should find a Chick-fil-A to protest in front of.

This is fricking ridiculous that its taking 3 months to present this evidence and let them decide.

Wrong, it's smart. You give them what they want now (a reason to riot), and it will be much worse than it is now. Let them protest about nothing and tire them out, then when it's not on anyone's mind announce it.

Waiting this long and letting the pressure build has worked wonders so far. Looks like everyone is just about ready to forget the whole thing.

That is not how this is going to play out. They are merely increasing the pressure.

The police have not handled this well at all. They were also very inconsistent with how they dealt with protestors the first time.

Actually, this is alot calmer than it was in August. Plus the investigators need time and the media attention shifted off of Fergusos for a few months. Hell everybody forgot about Ferguson with ebola, the midterms, immigration, football, world series, etc. This just happens to be a holiday week and nothing else is going on.

And you think announcing it now will make it better? This is nothing compared to what would be unleashed if they announced now. These people are raring to go. People have been bussed in from out of town in anticipation. Announcing now would be the WORST thing they could do. They want an announcement.

I swear some people just fail to think about this strategically. Why in Gods name would you give them what they want? Let it fizzle out.

You need to go tell them how to handle it.
