Are Democrats still trying to paint themselves at the party of the "little guy"? I think over the last 8 years they've moved away from that to the party of the fringe anti-white male persuasion. I didn't hear much about the little guy in this past election. I heard a ton about fighting for illegal immigrants, middle-eastern refugees, the LGBT community, and women (the only non-fringe group). I'm not saying that all of those folks don't necessarily deserve a voice in govt (especially women), but outside of women, there just aren't that many of the rest. The avg. "little guy" felt forgotten and slighted by the D's. Thus, the reason they voted en masse for someone they should purportedly hate, a brash, arrogant, billionaire from NYC
