How does a baby given birth by a white woman to a black man segue into a discussion about Hispanics? White and black are races, but since the "one drop rules" have been repealed, the race of the baby in this case is up to the parents. They can also choose "biracial."

My Lebanese buddy would argue that he is not white, even though he is light skin. His family identifies as Arab. Because Lebanese folks are very different in many ways from my white self, as are Latino/Hispanic Columbians. What heritage do I share with her?
Is Shakira white based upon skin tone alone?

That should be grass roota slogan to completely throw the 2020 Census into dissarray. How silly all of this is. Is race is about color, unless its convenient to make it about identiry? And if there are no consequences for making unsubstantiated claims for one race or another (Warren), why does it even matter, except for that little protected class thing.

Most Lebanese folks are Arab. Arabs are caucasian. It's like saying the Irish or French or Italians aren't white. They identify with being Irish so thus they aren't white!
Scientifically speaking there's 3 or 4 human races, depending on who you ask.
1. Caucasian
2. Sub-saharan African
3. Asian
4. Amerindian (optional since many believe this isn't consistently identifiable enough with traits and thus may just be a subset/mix of the other three)
Many people, especially in the Americas, are a mixture of two or more of these.

She is white. Her race us white. Her ancestry is Lebanese and Spanish and maybe a little Native American. Now if she had the Native American features that the incans and other natives posses then she would be mongoloid.

I think Amerindian is feasible. I think Polynesians should be as well (native simians, tongi,fiji, etc)
