That doesn't make sense, Dale

Actually, it does. You don't want it to...like you don't want AGW debunked and close your mind to new information.

You're projecting again..though you won't recognize it.

You can google just as well as I can

Plenty of scientists posted rebuttals explaining it better than I ever could

I would love for someone to definitively debunk AGW

Exactly.

What would you accept as valid data that you would recognize as debunking the claim of AGW?

I'm legitimately curious as to why I or anyone else should dismiss this whistleblower or the article. You claim to be informed on the topic, so I expected more than a canned "fake news" response.

And I'm telling you that there are plenty of rebuttals out there

I just don't have time to link them all to you right now as I'm about to leave to go have dinner with my family any minute

But we don't understand science, right? What else in the realm of the Federal Scientist world is being shoved down our throats as fact? Public school taught human evolution, perhaps?

Apparently Dr Bates had to later clarify the issue after the stories reported that he was alleging fraud. NYT's Story
quote:

“The issue here is not an issue of tampering with data,” he said, “but rather really of timing of a release of a paper that had not properly disclosed everything it was.”
Clearly there are some concerning issues, but I think people are trying to fit it into the exteme.

Do you think the level of scientific support and logic for evolution is anywhere in the same realm as climate change?

There is plenty of reasons to be skeptical of the climate change narrative, but evolution is one of the most supported scientific theories.

So to answer your question, they are fake by virtue of manipulating data to nudge the conclusions in the direction that is beneficial to the research's continuation.

With a subject as politicized as anthropogenic global warming, there will be rebuttals and attacks made on whistle blowers. That doesn't mean that said whistle blowers don't have merit.

The article appears to be very inconvenient to some AGW evangelicals that post here judging at the amount of snarky comments we've seen. It takes more than "derp derp...fake news" to debunk the article or the whistle blower.

The article is reporting on an actual whistle blower. The article has not proven to be factually inaccurate. I've seen attacks on the article and on the whistle blower in this thread....but nothing that really debunks what has been reported.

Very true. The two are not comparable.

Plenty of rebuttals by people who live off grants

How come nobody wants to follow the money?

This has been debunked

For 'scientists' to even conjure up the need to go back to the 1930s in order to adjust temps from what was actually published in newspapers of the day, says all you need to know about their motives

And to also 'assign' data to areas that hasn't had historical data since, ever, also speaks to their motives

And when actually studying their adjustments, its isnt a coincidence that they overwhelming demonstrate a lowering of temps historically, and a upward adjustment of temps since 1997

That's not science, that's propaganda
