I don't get it. Any sane person would think that checking immigration from non functioning states like Sudan, Yemen, Syria, Somalia , et al is a smart prudent thing. Also checking immigration with Iran is a good thing to, they are breaking deals with us left and right . ICE is part of the executive branch. The executive should be able to determine who to let in and who not to let in

Now that the circuit courts will have unanimously upheld the block, I doubt they'll even be able to get four SCOTUS justices to request to hear the case.
I mean, Gorsuch already called Trump out on his comments about federal judges. He's an extreme partisan to be sure, but he's also gonna be thinking about his own legacy after Trump is impeached.
But in any case, if it does get heard, at least one out of Roberts and Kennedy, and probably both of them, would uphold the lower court rulings.

The court that just blocked this ruled 10-3 against the ban, and this particular court, the 4th Circuit, is split pretty evenly with 10 Dem appointees and 8 Repub appointees. Similarly, SCOTUS will ensure that Trump's travel ban never sees the light of day.

That decision today was fricking laughable.
