Ever read a Christian book?
Chances are the publisher belonged to the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA).
And to make sure all the Christians are properly indoctrinated, the ECPA has introduced a DEI certification program for its members.
The certification includes the following modules:
DEI INDUSTRY CONVERSATIONS MODULE - 8 hours
DEI & LEADERSHIP MODULE - 8 hours
DEI & EDITORIAL MODULE - 6 hours
DEI & MARKETING MODULE - 5 hours
DEI & CHRISTIAN FICTION MODULE - 5.5 hours
DEI & CHILDREN'S BOOKS MODULE - 3.5 hours
Literally hours of fun!
The ECPA certification program is the brain child of ECPA board member Tina Constable, who heads the DEI committee. She is the head of Christian imprints at Penguin Random House.
Constable rose to power as a publisher because she directed the publication strategy of A Promised Land by President Barack Obama and Becoming by Michelle Obama.
"There is value in attempting to see the world from perspectives and experiences that differ from our own," states Ed Gilbreath of Christianity Today. "Though this library is specific to Christian publishing, it is still an important step of humility and grace to listen to those who have experienced the industry differently." Ed is the author of Reconciliation Blues: A Black Evangelical's Inside View of White Christianity (IVP).
Members will also be able to "appreciate the steadfast efforts of industry colleagues who were willing to be involved in these hard conversations."

There's no white or black Christianity. This is absurd

These companies aren't doing it independently for no reason. It's the banks above them that are forcing it just to do business.

Amen. If a church doesn't like you because of your race, count your blessing and go to a church that actually lives the Bible.
Now, on the other hand, I think it's very important for Christians to consider things from other's point of view. How can you relate to someone when their beliefs are totally different? Remember God became human, he met us at our level. I had a Bible teacher that really made a point of this, he would roleplay an atheist/muslim/etc. and challenge us to answer the very real questions a skeptic asks.
I really doubt that's what this DEI is about, but still important imo.

DEI is actually not founded upon biblical principles but on humanistic principles that see all relationships in terms of power struggle. It's sad to see professing Christians duped into believing that there is actual overlap with this Critical Race Theory stuff because certain vocabulary words overlap, though they are meant very differently.

There are no conversations in DEI. Instead there are one-sided, condescending lectures by low IQ CRT nimwits
