I hope so too. But one thing we have confirmed is that hate breeds hate. This culture and world needs healing and love. I don't see either happening often in my world today, and that makes me sad. I still believe in the goodness of the human soul though, and for those of you who follow Christ this type of love (agape) should hit home.

You made a point that a person who went to share love was killed, to refute the point that love can heal all. I made a counterpoint that death is expected in any war, so your example isn't profound in any way. See Gandhi, Jesus, MLK, or any historic humanitarian for examples.
