Lots of oil citing in storage tanks down at the ship channel.

The US is running out of places to store oil. We need more refining capacity or to lift the export ban.

Its really a non-issue for most liquid marketing operations. We have too much onshore domestic liquid production for our refining capacity and will for the next 5-10 years, unless price drops to ~$60.

The TX refineries are nearly at capacity right now

Major upgrades planned to increase capacity due to the keystone pipeline getting built. Once refined, it can stay local or be shipped overseas. They can sell cheaper locally as opposed to shipping it overseas. Once the pipeline is set up, you will always have the need to sell cheaper at the end of the pipeline to move product as you exceed storage capacity. Thus those better in position to take up that oil will be better positioned to sell at a more competitive price point. I'm not saying we're going to see $1 gasoline at the pump but it will be cheaper.

Obama is on record saying electricity prices will necessarily have to skyrocket. His energy czar says gas prices must go up so alternative sources can become competitive.

In other words, we must pay out the wazoo so that they can hug trees and supposedly save polar bears. And we are stupid enough to put up with this.

Anyone in a coal state is insane to vote Democrat. Anyone working directly or indirectly in energy production is too.

For that matter, we all are, because we all use it.
