I don't think hard drugs like fentanyl , meth, cocaine, should be legal. But even if they are(as in article) why let them lay out on sidewalks? Sounds like two different issues. They should create a particular area where it's tolerated, outside of that they go to jail.

Rarely does some say…. I need rehab. Usually it’s family or to avoid prison. Giving them a phone number was never going to work.

It's called "tranq" or xylazine.

It'll sort itself out in time. Most of the addicts will be gone and life goes on.
