what the frick can they do to promo her book? She has a show right now with 2.5 to 3 million viewers...that's better than any promo they can offer her. and that's not what that quote meant, but trust me I understand the confusion 
...msnbc can promise "synergy" across other platforms. fox can...turner can't.

This has been telegraphed by absolutely everyone remotely involved since before the summer, really.
She's going to CNN because they're offering more money. She's also a moderately liberal democrat and that's the network for those types of folks.

once o'reilly hangs it up, they have a big problem. they wouldn't be just paying her for her ratings (which are very good) they're paying her for her youth.
and unlike cnn, they can elevate her profile and career even more or at least have the resources to do it. her short lived network experiment though with a high profile interview tells me all I need to know about her though...she isn't a draw outside of fox news, and she's only a draw there because o'reilly is her lead in

the ratings are going to fluctuate. I want to see a full month that didn't have an election happening.
as of now, she's still doing 2.4 to 2.8 million the last couple of weeks which a little over a month ago would have had her as the 2nd most watched program on cable news.
Carlson has beat her 5/9 shows he's run through Tuesday so fox has to be incredibly upbeat about him on the roster of hosts. if he is still killing it or killing it even more come decision time between spring and summer, he's going to hurt her leverage.
