People completely misinterpret that line to begin with.
It refers to Puritan times where women were generally submissive and went along with society.

Some of yall clearly are missing irony of complaining about an anonymous woman's appearance on a message board being a karen.

Well the double-masked part doesn’t necessarily make her a “bad” person. It does however demonstrate that she is extremely gullible to government propaganda campaigns.
