Don't use the world Liberal. Call them Statists

I stopped calling crazy leftist prog statists "liberals" years ago. and not just due to the "classical liberal"=modern day conservative/libertarian/constitutionalist bit.

there is nothing liberal in any sense about today's prog movement.

oh, and of course the Constitution can be changed. Fortunately, some racist old white men back in the 18th century made it very difficult to do.

I call them socialists.

They are the alt-left.

Yeah - the term liberal is almost gone. I prefer Prog because Statist , used outside of Libertarian circles , draws a lot of blank stares. But I agree with everything you wrote.

I prefer to view it in historical terms. They were never Sons of the American Revolution and defenders of the US Constitution. They are the philosophical heirs to The French Revolution. Individual Liberty bores them - Marxist assumptions are what excites them. And this millennial Progressive anti- Free Speech movement is their moment. They have entered a more serious destructive phase and every important American tradition, ideal, principle and Institution is in the crosshairs.

Modern conservatives: the likes of sessions, Roy Moore, Romney, bushes, et Al.
