So the guy making an absolute killing off globalism for the last 30 years is now going to be in charge of killing off globalism.

Interesting.

Well Trump himself was one of these types, so maybe he knows them well enough to get the job done. We'll see.

I'm in the same boat. I never minded the status quo and didn't want to drain the swamp. But when we point out that a lot of these appointments are swamp dwellers or swamp curators themselves, we're somehow melting?

It's pretty bizarre.

Seriously... Why has Joe the plumbers name not been mentioned yet? I mean we elected Trump to put in people that would not be able to do anything, not just get rid of the career politicians that have been running the show and replace them with successful people. This is bullshite!

Because they make an emotional investment in a symbol, then transfer it to a person. Therefore ab attack on Trump is an attack on their identity.

I remember reading about Cohn in Malcolm Gladwell's "David and Goliath", which told the story how Cohn broke into Wall Street. Really cool story

You know as well as I do that Soros and Golden Sacks are just distractions. The Illuminati and the Knights Templar are really running things.

What is globalism??
Can you define it and give some examples for context?

This is not limited to one side of the political spectrum. Stop being a partisan hack.

Again, people on both sides are guilty of it, especially your brethren on the left.

Yep. I even voted for him. And, frankly, expected he'd do plenty of stuff to piss his hardcore supporters off while making people like me happy. I just like threads like this to watch them uncomfortably pivot from "GS is the core of a corrupt system!!!" to "say what you will, he's bringing together the most capable folks..."

I'm sure he'll also do some completely ridiculous shite eventually, but I don't find any of the picks that problematic thus far, save perhaps Flynn and Bannon. Some are a little perplexing, but not worrisome.

Uhhhhh, this is the type of pick that I would have applauded 2 months ago and y'all would have claimed as treason.

So it's absolutely fine by me

I know you are ridin down Trumpkings Pettifogger, but it is funny how Trumpkins ride the vicissitudes of Trump's flip floppin so well.

No, Dale. I won't. All you fricking do is ask redundant questions. Figure it out for yourself.

Agree with all of this. They take it as a subtle insult if you're not as far down the rabbit hole as they are.

That's why it's so weird that in my daily life I'm viewed as a conservative, even a Trump supporter, but on here unless you're into devoted hero worship, you're a lefty.

You confuse this message board with reality. And maybe confuse some other things as well, I'm not entirely sure.

Don't confuse flip flopping with doing what was needed to be done to win an election. He stole a play out of the Democratic playbook. And not surprisingly, about 10% of Trump voters didn't understand this. What is amazing is that Never Trumpers and liberals, who are smarter I guess, fell for this at about a 90% rate.

I'm not sure which side is more deluded, principled conservatives or progressives, but it's closer than a lot of people would like to admit.

Most of us just want a tax cut and national security. Entitlement reform would be nice, but we live in reality and don't really expect that from anyone holding elective office. Too many votes involved there.

Well how about this to make some feel better..."keep your friends close and your enemies closer."

Who knows. The future will tell.
