But the Quran isn't traditional. I think what's sacred is that every president before did the same thing. It's the tradition that is honored and valued, not the fact that it's a bible. If every president since the beginning of our country had sworn in on a dictionary, it would be just as sacred.

Queens is a borough. It is divided into neighborhoods, one of them named Jamaica.

First of all, it is separate in the sense that the government cannot and does not force the people to worship a certain god or adhere to a specific set of religious beliefs. That was the intent of the founders and we continue that today.
Secondly, for many who are religious, those beliefs are a part of who we are and they influence our choices and how we approach life. A person who is religious will have those convictions color how they approach even their work lives, especially in terms of ethics. Politics and government are no different in that regard.

I just didnt think there would be a presbyterian church in Little Jamaica or the Jamaica Burrough or whatever its called?
