Solid melt.

Trump was the only major candidate in the general last year with any discernible platform. Non-political people knew his ideas on trade and immigration but couldn't name anything Hillary stood for.

Because Hillary stands for nothing.

His idea was drain the swamp. He's doing his best to do what no man has ever attempted to do from within. So he's very original.

It just seems like he's reversing a lot of dumb shite Obama did because it was dumb shite that he did.

6 Goldman Sachs appointments:

- Steven Mnuchin(Treasury)
- Gary Cohn(National Economic Counsel)
- Dina Powell(advisor),
- Jay Clayton(SEC Chairman)
- Steve Bannon(Chief Strategist),
- Anthony Scaramuchi(announced but not yet appointed for Director of Public liaison and government affairs, was a key advisor to the campaign)
- * Jim Donovon(turned down second in line at the Treasury)

Been handing out ethics waivers left and right. Hiring lobbyists all over to help craft legislation.

Refuses to put his business in a blind trust which leaves mountains of conflicts of interest.

Putting tons of big donors in key positions of influence.

He hasn't drained shite! He's hired the people who have overseen the swamp all these years.

He's done nothing to move away from political bribery and getting corporate interest out of Washington. He's brought the corporate interest into the fricking Oval Office!

Any of you 15 downvorers care to refute this?

Or is it all just "let's negate everything Obama did?"

Given my views of government, formed over a decade of higher education and nearly twice as long practicing in the real world, this would be plenty original for me.

Can you imagine having different opinions than the 95% on this board? You can post the most neutral thing ever and get slapped with 20 downvotes immediately. ANYTIME one of you are downvoted you whine and address it because you're not used to even getting one. You can just post how stupid obama is and how smart trump is and live carefree in your safe space circle jerk. Quit complaining about getting downvoted it makes y'all look like snowflakes.

When have we ever expected Presidents to have original ideas? Why start with Trump?

I haven't downvoted it, but I'm pretty sure he ran as not being a career politician. He never claimed that he would not utilize private sector decision makers, he simply claimed he wasn't beholden to them since he wasn't dependent on their campaign or foundation donations.

Here is what Trump has to do propel himself onto a successful Presidency track:

1) Substantive tax reform in which taxation is shifted from progressive to a flat tax.
