Do Ds do it, yes. Rs just tend too do it more and that's one reason why you see the undeniable gender gap.
It's not true in either case. Women vote democRat because they agree with them, just like rich whites vote republican because they agree with GOP policies.

First, I'm not saying that's the only reason women tend to vote more for the Ds. But explain the gender gap that all R candidates seem to have? You think that certain policies do not adversely effect women? Policies can also be sexist Hail. SO yeah it is about policies, it is also about that "binder full of women", it's about stupid remarks like the OP's. All those things Hail are balled up in an expressed attitude. Political parties have to be sensitive to the voters they seek. One party now does a better job than the other.

Let's see. I'm a repub and say a woman is ugly, so that is going to make some woman vote democrat. Screw the issues. Either you are full of crap or women are too stupid to vote.

wfel thinks abortion is sexist.

That's my point Cajun, it should be about the issues. You know what I'm saying-judging a female political candidate on their looks?? Yep that's a smart image for people to project. Don't agree with HRC or Palin or any women on the issues that's very different than what the OP did. People read comments like this, they hear comments like this, and yes it can and does effect what they think about a political party.

wfel, then what do you think about some of these stories:
iowa dems compare joni ernst to a chick
South Carolina dem calls for Nikki Haley to be "sent back to wherever the hell she came from"
democrats launch sexist ads against NH candidate
North carolina dem speaking to women club: republicans are raping you
democrat john walsh believes laundry is a woman's job
debbie wasserman-schultz calls republican women "shiny packages"
and let's not forget Bill Clinton.

What do I think, I think idiots are not limited to one party Hail. But what party has the gender gap problem?

wfel, why do you present the gender gap as the difference in the female vote, while there is just as big a gender gap in the male vote?

That's true there certainly is. But that really is my point when discussing women and the comments like the poster's. What I mean is which of the 2 parties seems more friendly to women--that can be evidenced by the other gender gap. The big problem with the "female" gender gap for any party is that there are more women than men and more voting women than men. Also, I haven't checked and it may just be my bias creeping in but isn't the male gender gap really more of a white male gender gap? I'll have to check that and see.

Mitt Romney won the white women vote 56-42%.

Yep he did better than McCain in that demographic. However, white women like white men are becoming less of the voting public.
The exit polls conducted on Election Day shows that Obama won female voters by an 11 point margin, 55 percent to 44 percent, over Romney.

quote:Yes, but this is more because of race than anything. Virtually 100% of black women voted for Obama, while 75% of latino women voted for Obama.

So, if anything, this was a result of republican ineptitude with minorities.

In 2004, women only went to lurch by 3 points. That's not really a gender gap.

But in 2008 and 2012 it was very different and probably will be even greater in 2016.

And you want to know why our healthcare costs have gone up.
Over the past several decades its gone up mostly because its gotten a lot better. Would you rather have bypass surgery in a hospital in 1980 or in 2014?
