Do US Made Products Matter to You

Assuming the product quality is the same and the American made product costs a little more, would you still buy it?
Isn't the goal of a free market to have the best products and not just the ones made in your country?

Yes,I will buy American. For instance, when I was looking for my first handgun I bought a Beretta instead of a Glock simply for the reason that the Beretta was made in America.

All things being equal I buy American.
My choice to buy American is a free market decision

Not really
What exactly does "American made" mean? Define that for me first.
Even companies with fewer than 50 employees and less than $20M in revenue in bumfrick Arkansas have at least some part of their supply chain abroad.

Not in regard to clothing. I try to find clothes made in countries like Malaysia, Vietnam, Bangladesh and China because they use more child labor in sweatshops. Children need to learn a strong work ethic at an early age and I'm willing to help out.

If the products are equal, I will always buy American, even if it's a little more expensive.
Usually, there is a difference in quality.

If the quality is equal, and the cost is even relatively competitive I will always buy products that are made in America. Even if the corporation is HQ'd elsewhere. I care about the workers. Not the owners.

We are America. We are supposed to make the best always. It should be indoctrinated.

Yes- assuming equal quality.
I'm also a huge fan of supporting local small craft businesses.

Yes I always have tried to buy and eat local raised food and meat, drive American produced cars and as many other products as possible.

Its been proven time and time again that there is no tolerance for increase in the price of consumer goods. Equal quality and lower cost will win every time.

Pretty sure most Glocks are made in Georgia currently.

It is assembled in China. Considering value add to the manufacturing process, they only produce about 10% of it.
Korea, Germany, and the US all get more value out of the manufacturing process. So which is it?

Yes, which is why I buy beers from local Louisiana and Texas breweries instead of Budweiser.
Then again, the locally made stuff is better too.

They do, and yes I buy USA first.

I'll buy American unless it's a company that has poor customer service.

I will buy American when possible, especially local, always have. The money will be recirculated and have a net benefit for my country and community in ways taxation couldn't.

I would prefer to buy items produced by American child laborers, but these items are hard to find.
