I was just hoping for an apolitical administration. One run by pragmatism instead of dogmatic political ideology.

Not me I want Rudy as AG and I want Bolton as SOS.

So you prefer a 3rd term of W? Endless wars, invasion of privacy, nation building, etc.?

Yeah, it's always some mundane detail.

If you didn't think Guilliani had a part in his cabinet after campaigning with him for months. I'm not sure what to tell you.

Of course I do. Please explain how my definition is incorrect. They're essentially hawkish liberals that left the Democrat Party in the 1960s.

After hillary clinton and john kerry it will be refreshing to have Rudy in charge of State.

If you're truly concerned about political corruption taking place in that department it's high time to clean out the chicken coop.

How do you define "warhawk"? Just curious.

Someone that uses military force when there is no imminent threat to US security or sovereignty. It's a little more nuanced than that but I think that's the nuts and bolts of it.

Bolton is America first, just like Trump. This should be no surprise.

He's on Fox now.

I noticed the people in Oslo didn't ask barack to return his well earned Peace prize.

When did W shrink the size of government? Balance the budget? Neocons are good at using all the right codewords; they're not so good at actually doing what they say. The sooner you realize that neocons (90% of the Republican Party) give us the platitudes but never actually want to change anything, the better you'll be. Name something conservative and meaningful accomplished by Bolton.

what is wrong with John Bolton specifically, not just that he is a "neocon"?

He was for the iraq and Libya wars.
Just last year he stated that removing saddam was the right thing to do.
He is a "shoot first, ask questions later" type of dude, and that's fine and all when you are acting alone, but certainly not when you are involving the entire nation and the lives of our soldiers.

He hates our involvement in the UN, but for different reasons than corruption. He wants us to act unilaterily and swiftly and continue our role as the world's policemen.

I would truly hate to see his inclusion, and do not think he will be confirmed by Congress.

I'm not sure if you're expecting me to stick up for Obama here.

What metric are you using that validates your own definition? Do you national security briefings? If not, how are you able to determine what is a threat to security or sovereignty?
