Disappointed If Trump begins adding neocons like Giuliani & Bolton to cabinet

I understand the need to get some Washington insiders but there are better choices I believe. Ron Paul would be an excellent Sec of Treasury, for instance. Trump has a real opportunity to change everything about Washington and the Republican Party itself. Surrounding himself with neocon insiders would all but make that impossible.

he is a business man, he is going to put together a diverse staff with different views and ideas. You have to have some insiders to get things done.

Where have you been for the last 18 months? Giuliani has been a Trump surrogate for a very long time. You think he'd not offer him something?

yep on top of being smart in business he is loyal. Rudy has been backing him for a long time. Reince got his position by being smart enough to stand up for trump while Paul cuck was crying

Bolton is a worrying choice. He's as big a warhawk as Clinton.

Michael Bolton? That's fantastic. I'll take him over that racist JayZ anyday.

Re: Bolton's name being passed around

Have we learned nothing from Jimmy Sexton and WikiLeaks?

Just because the MSM says a certain name is being tossed around, it doesn't mean: (1) that it is true; or (2) that it isn't Bolton leaking his own name to make himself seem relevant, popular or wanted.

as he should

surrounding yourself with 'yes men' is a sure fire way to get in trouble with the quickness

exactly and surrounding yourself with outsiders is also a good way to never get shite passed. trump has the power position in the negations with congress considering how popular he is, but you can't just run wild with it. You make things alot better and alot harder to undo if you give some.

Not only that. The WORST thing to can do when in charge is to just surround yourself with only like minded people. That's actually a very common problem with politicians.

If I were elected, first damned think I'd do is find a left leaning person I had good rapport with and bring them on staff.

Surrounding yourself with nothing but true believers leads to genius shite like running a campaign where you insult a significant part of your base.......(uneducated white males....... Deplorables)

I can see why they would be confused. they don't have a great grasp of history since everyone is Hitler and such. They have also spent the last 8 years by passing the rules and the cucks allowed it.

People on TV campaigning for Cabinet positions are likely not on anyone's list.

what is wrong with John Bolton specifically, not just that he is a "neocon"?

Well, it may not be the answer you want but it is because he's a neocon. He's a warhawk and seems to subscribe to the neocon notion that America's primary responsibility is establishing democracies throughout the world through military force. The neocon foreign policy begun by HW has been a disaster and goes against what Trump campaigned for.

I get that. I just wish they weren't neocon insiders.

No matter who Trump hires, it's always gonna be criticized by the media. It's like they didn't learn a thing this election. They're just digging their graves even further, which I'm 100% ok with.

His strategy right now seems to be to mostly hire people that have been loyal to him and stuck through the good & bad of his campaign.
