My man.

quote:

Debbie said the former president took time to visit with every diner before leaving, but there was one conversation she overheard from a soldier eating at a table next to her that she won’t soon forget.

“There was another young couple he turned to and the man was in the army,” Debbie said. “He told him ‘it was an honor to serve you’ and President Bush said ‘thank you for your service, but you didn’t serve me, you served your country.”

Really hard to dislike president bush.

Never understood the raging hatred ppl had for him compared to his flawed and crooked advisors and mentors.

would have been nice if he fought the dems half as much as he fought the Iraq and Afghan regimes.

That did him a lot of good, liberals are so fair assessing him.

Because he had a (R) next to his name during the rise of fake cable news and social media.

Voted for him and would do so again over Obama or Hillary but I didn't like how his second term went.

He's still a good man and would love to have a beer with him.

W was a blessing compared to what came before and after him. He wasn't perfect, but name one President who was.

I'm not a fan of several of GW Bush's policies, i.e. TARP, offshore royalty revenue sharing, Stimulus, etc...

But he is a really hard dude to dislike. He had some shite advisors around him with other interests in their heads. He genuinely felt hurt sending soldiers to war, knowing many would be killed and maimed.

You and me.

I love President Bush43.

My only fault with him was that he didn't fight back agains the DEM/MSM cabal that smeared him 24/7. He was too nice a guy - a real gentleman. May not have another like him for a long long time.

'tis a pity.

W was a good man and a nice guy.
He ran for a office where that don't mean sh!t in the end.
He wasn't a astute hardball politician and thus got trucked by astute hardball politicians and DC players of all stripes.

I think that history would have judged him more kindly had he not had such overt cronyism. Michael Brown and Dick Cheney come to mind.

Still like him better than his pos father though.

That's fun. Plus, he practically wrote the affordable care act. Obama tweaked it a bit but he gets credit for that one.

W enacted some really shitty policy, violated civil liberties, and gave the ME a "just frick my shite up" haircut.

But, genuinely, I do believe he was just doing what he thought was best for the country. He has more pride for the office and his country than his bookends.

Worst GOP president in American history. Doubled Moslem immigration after 9/11. Doubled the deficit. Is more responsible for the 15MM new Moslems in Western Europe than any other person on the planet (and all the rapes that have gone / will go with it).

Didn't vote for Trump.

He can GFH.

The only good thing I can say about George Dubya Retard is that he was such a shitty president that he swung the pendulum so far left that it allowed Obama to swing it so far towards globalism that it opened the door for TRUMP.

Bush didn't do a single conservative thing domestically his entire presidency other than put Alito on the bench.

That's right, just Alito.

The hate he gets is because he started a war in Iraq that cost trillions of dollars, thousands of US lives, hundreds of thousands if not millions of lives in the ensuing decade, destabilized the Middle East, created the power vacuum that ISIS filled, thus causing more billions of dollars and loss of life, the refugee and immigration crisis, etc.. on completely false pretenses.

Also, he pushed through an enormous tax cut while doing all the war spending that took a virtually balanced federal budget and created huge budget deficits that was the kindling for the dumpster fire of debt we are in now.

I voted for him twice, voted for McCain, voted for Romney voted for Trump. Agree totally GWB is a super nice guy of the highest carachter, and I'd be honored to have him over for beer and Bbq, but his presidency was an unmitigated disaster both domestically and internationally. If you can't admit that, you're simply a partisan hack that loves all republicans and hates all democrats regardless of results.
