Barely, Ossoff only has to consolidate the Dem (roughly 1%) and then add .25% or so to win.

He spent $9M (in a primary ), and only got the same % that Hillary did. The average cost of a Cong seat is $1.7M. A Senate race is only $10.5M. The SENATE!

Now he has someone to run against. That lives in the district

Based on a brief glance, I'm not terribly impressed with the GOP's offering there.

Dems running an out-of-district candidate, knowing he'd be flooded with out-of-state funding, was just dumb though. It will be the gift that keeps giving leading up to the June election. Ossoff's explanation for living out-of-district because his GF is an Emory Med Student will fold like a cheap umbrella.

This will be a close election

As a kid we called horse meat melt.

I remember 'melt' as a meat - never saw any but heard it talked about and didn't know where it came from.

When I went crawfishing, I just asked the butcher for 10 cents worth of "red meat" - sometimes I'd get enough to have made a big stew.

Ossoff beat the first Republican by more than 25 points.

This is a district that Obama lost by 23 points.

Now that right there is some of the weakest sauce I have ever seen.

Had to be. GA-6 was Newt's district.

FakeNews was pumping the feel good this morning calling last night's election a referendum on Trump. I will say, they have their shite together and the on air talent really sells the narrative, but at the end of the day it's just kind of sad.

Well you should because Ossoff will not win in the runoff, you know it and I know it. I'd bet you a lifetime TD ban on that one.

If Ossoff wins in June the republicans win it back in 18. If he losses and it is a close race they have better shot in 18 to flip the 6th.

It's hard to count this as a moral victory when your party has no morals, at all!

Of corse it is. An absolutely motivated democratic base, funded by over 4 times the money. all 11 republicans spent combined could only manage 48% of the vote.

If the exact same turnout happens next month your side loses by 4%

Likely your side won't even do that well since your libturd candidate won't have 1/10th the funds to spend going forward.

Confident today I see? Will you go back to throwing in the towel and saying we are doomed in the 2018 mid terms tomorrow? Today we are invincible but a couple of days ago we were fated to lose?

Ossoff's home where he was raised and where his parents still live is in the district. The in or out of district issue was a known fact in the primary.

Each of the republican candidates got votes from their own base of supporters, which would have a tendency to swell the total republican vote. Moreover, to expect that these voters will move en masse to support the remaining republican candidate may prove foolhardy, especially when she appeals to a particular and somewhat narrow subset of republican voters.

I will make sure my family votes on the 20th. These are the type of elections that slip by people with jobs.

All 11 get to move to the run-off and their vote totals are combined?

That's new!

Outside Republican PACs spent 2x as much money trashing Ossoff as Ossoff spent.

Not a dime has been spent yet trashing Handel's (deservedly terrible) record.
