*The FBI may have violated the First Amendment rights of Twitter users when it flagged accounts for the social media platform to review, several legal experts told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

*Twitter became an “agent of the government” when it worked with the FBI to silence specific accounts at the agency’s request, Hans von Spakovsky, manager of the Heritage Foundation’s Election Law Reform Initiative and a senior legal fellow, told the DCNF.

*Ari Cohn, free speech counsel at TechFreedom, told the DCNF that while the findings of the Twitter Files were “interesting,” he doesn’t believe there are “many legal conclusions to draw from it.”

If they didn’t, then the First Amendment is entirely superfluous.

FBI and other government entities engaged in behavior to chill, freeze, and censor, as well as manipulate public opinion. They did this during an election year, with a partisan flavor.

There are very few ways the FBI and other government entities could have done more to violate the 1st Amendment. Also, once Twitter and others in Big Tech went along, they became government actors and unless they can show coercion, I think they are on the hook for various forms of sanction as well.

This behavior is not just a violation of the 1st Amendment, it violates numerous laws and is a complete departure from a representative form of government, the ideas of self-governance, and is a mark of tyranny and fascism. It is a profound indicator of fascism and is very much aligned with there being an FBI office or computer terminal or whatever it was, in that law firm.

Lastly, if we can ever peel back the layers on this some more, I think it's likely we find a conspiracy and a detailed plan to put operatives of the IC into Big Tech, from their government jobs. This is a wholesale subjugation of civil rights and a complete betrayal of the nation. (don't forget, as a reward the FBI is getting something like $600M to build a new HQ building, in the new Omnibus)

Every elected republican should basically be saying what you have written, unequivocally.

They need to pummel these ratbastards in social media companies, msm,Demorats, and federal government agencies who have been involved in this insurrection.

EVERY DAY.

Yes, but just like all the laws that the Democrats break or ignore, nothing will happen. Anyone who could do anything about it has either been bribed or blackmailed into helping the deep state.

More importantly, will anything be done about it?

No.

Absolutely.

And as I said before. Local police who violate 4th amendment rights go to federal prison. Someone needs to be held responsible. But who polices the FBI?

Nothing will happen. We live in a fascist country.

Governmental violation of Americans' free speech is the least egregious thing the FBI/CIA did during the course of their stealing the 2020 election.

Somewhere there is an army of attorneys preparing to argue that they didn't. And remember, all the bs that has been pulled was to get rid of orange man bad and therefore half the country thinks all this kgb stuff is ok.

It is very disheartening for normal Americans to realize.

Obama started and funded Isis. We are the terrorist.

Our government violates our rights on a daily basis.

Our elections are theater.

Superfluous? More like non existent. The First Amendment has been identified as an impediment to “fundamental transformation” by the Dims and LWO DC Establishment.

Obama, yes. But, can even go back to the creation of the Patriot Act in response to 9/11.

I’m no lawyer but I don't think government can use private business to do what it can’t do legally.

So.

Who was damaged? How much in damages does a deleted tweet get a plaintiff?

Tldr: no teeth
