Just another issue Obama inherited from Bush. He has been to busy working on creating jobs, fighting a war, and implementing healthcare for civilians. Obama can only fix one thing at a time and this is not at the top of his list.

He's also been busy locking these same veterans out of open-air monuments built in honor of them and their friends who died on the battlefield.

This falls on the feet of everyone from this administration, the previous and everyone in congress. They pass without hesitation every defense bill that goes in front of them but allow the VA to continue to be severely underfunded. It's deplorable on every level.
But hey they have more important things to worry about like bengazi for the 50th time. True patriots they are!

This will be the most serious scandal of Obams's tenure, but it's not really something to place at his feet. I put more blame on Congress.

I don't fault Obama for what is going on at the VA...the inherent problems in that place are far beyond fixable for anyone.
That said, the VA system is AT BEST a representation of what the entire US health care system will look like in 20 years...and is likely representation of top notch care 20 years from now if we truly adopt a single payer system.
