Tell us something we don't know.

quote:

CNN’s John King said Sunday morning that Democrats in key races are distancing themselves from President Obama, calling him “detached” in his handling of the scandal involving treatment of patients in a Veterans Administration hospital.

“Forget for a moment that Republican outrage. More and more Democrats in key 2014 races are calling for the president to get a spine, they say, and fire his Veterans Affairs secretary,” the host said on “Inside Politics,” The Weekly Standard reported.
“And what more and more Democrats are saying privately is scathing, calling the president and his team detached, flat footed, even incompetent,” Mr. King continued.

“What strikes me, what Democrats are saying privately in the wakes of the Healthcare.gov problems, they see a president who doesn’t want to take command, doesn’t want to act fast — raising the competence question. Some Democrats who believe in government [are saying] this White House doesn’t appear to have its hand on the lever,” he said.

Politico’s Maggie Haberman agreed, calling the president’s press conference last week “tepid.”

“All of this adds up to somebody who just doesn’t seem at all involved,” she said.

I could have told them this in early 2008.

Of course, most Presidents are mailing it in by this point in their second term.

It's the "Limbaugh theorem"; Rush's assessment that Obama is never responsible for scenarios or causes. Rather he is always above the fray, but being stifled and impeded in his curative altruism.

They can call it "detached"...but I think arrogant would be more accurate. At least until you're on top a building in Benghazi and depending on the top of the COC to make a call.

It'll be the same with Healthcare when they weak start dying off; Republican's fault...they blocked it.

Live and learn.

Humble thanks to the Vets.

Same here. It's been my belief all along that he is not presidential material and in far over his head.

The best description I've heard.

"Obama is involved in everything, responsible for nothing."

I hate to disagree, JI...but I fear that Obama is far from being a dumbass. It would be very hard for a da to do the damage to this nation that he has. And it is far from being over. He has nearly 40% believing they are aggrieved because of Capitalism, and maybe more believing they are entitled to life's basics...regardless.

Nope. He is detached from responsibility and accountability. He is always fighting against whatever his administration is doing. That isn't a dumbass. It's a brilliant and ballsy politician.

I think he's more like the mad monk who can only spout his beliefs, but can't do anything. I think incompetent is closer to the truth. If his aides don't know how to get it done, it doesn't get done.

Also saw a good quote in a book by a liberal, dumbass fiction writer that is actually pretty good. It goes something like, "The purpose of bureaucracy is to protect the men at the top."

Obama was elected because of the historical and cultural change it would signify. Having a black president is certainly a sign of progress, but no one questioned his governing capabilities, and they were not really scrutinized during the campaigns. Obama surely knows how to play up what he represents on the outside, but he really is incompetent, aloof, and lacking of leadership abilities.

Don't blame him, though. Blame the people who elected him. People who think the presidency should be held by someone who represents "cultural change" and "the breaking of barriers", rather than someone who has leadership abilities.

Sadly, the same crap will be played in 2016. Emotional voters will turn out for Hillary because they want a woman as president. Her ability to lead (which is mediocre at best) will take a back seat to the significance of a woman presidency.

Sorry, but I'm not impressed by anybody telling the truth about Obama in private. By now, true Americans should be saying, "To heck with politics, this idiot is killing our country."

It's cowardly to only criticize him privately.

Obama and this administration has identified those in departments that have the same mindset as him or and appointed others. They are working for him behind the scenes, things that are exposed, like IRS, and VA only serve as a road bock to be ignored or detoured around...

Except the presidency was never intended to be a symbol of cultural change. In strict constitutional terms, it was intended to check the power of congress, and to provide for a capable commander-in-chief. That has obviously been warped over the last 100 years or so, but I still get so tired when people elect presidents based on cultural significance. More often than not, leadership abilities are thrown out the window when cultural change is the most important issue.

Sort of hard to stay involved when running the United States of America is such a boring endeavor for one so brilliant.

His brilliance is his undoing. The man needs a challenge. Anyone have a name the states game they can send to barry?

I remember watching this clown back in late 2007 and into 2008. Watching him, you could tell that he was surprised people were buying into his schtick.

The biggest bullshite artist this country has ever seen.
