That guy won because his dad ran and won on the same platform but died while in office. This has very little to do with Trump

Even the elder Lumumba realized he needed whitey before he died. Once the 'voters' realize the son can't or won't turn things around even they will cool on him. They will just vote another snake oil salesman into office with more impossible expectations.
That said Jackson is a terrible example of a 'win' for progressives. That city has been lost to rational politicians for a decade.

Jackson will NEVER have a Mayor that is not a democrat using Jackson MS as a measuring stick will get you absolutely nowhere. Jackson is flat broke it's only a matter of time before the State takes over
