He'll get the BernieBros on board if the throws in free college and student loan forgiveness.

He could get the pussy hats if he offers free tampons and birth control.

When they got done with the interview, did the guy pick up his cardboard sign, put his tinfoil hat back on, and resume telling everyone in Times Square that the end of the world is nigh?

Kay Ivey needs to run on the "escape plan" platform, because if the other states in this republic elect a President based on the $1000/mos free-money campaign, it's time to go. Not a civil war, not to pick a fight, just barricade the Interstates, grow crops, ride out the burning of Rome.

You don't. It's the first step to a central planning government. Next step sets universal salary rates for different professions, but also sets outrageous tax rates for monies earned outside of the Universal Salary system.
End result: USSR circa 1980.

~250 million adults in the U.S.

$1,000 per month, per adult = $250 billion per month.

$250 billion per month x 12 months = new entitlement of $3 trillion per year, which is a 65 to 70 percent increase over our current bloated budget - assuming we could reduce some redundancy from some programs (this would presumably replace food stamps, housing assistance, SS disability and even portions of SS retirement) - 10% VAT ain't going to get you to $3T - maybe $1T, maybe $1.5T, but it would crush retail (killing the golden goose - retail is most of what the U.S. has left) and generate a flourishing black market to avoid this VAT.

We need a government guaranteed $1000/month/lifetime, $15/hour minimum wage for all workers, and a mandated MAXIMUM wage cap for everyone, say $1,000,000/year. Yes, that needs to include entertainers and sports figures.

This whole 1%er thing just makes me sick.

Why?

Because you never had the gumption to do something with your own life?

Or was it that you never had the intelligence?

Both perhaps?
