Imagine what would have happened if Hillary would have won.

Profits tumble

quote:

Jan 12 (Reuters) - Delta Air Lines Inc on Thursday reported a 36.5 percent decline in fourth-quarter profit and forecast passenger unit revenue, a closely watched metric, to be flat to up 2 percent in early 2017. Net income fell to $622 million, or 84 cents per share, in the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, from $980 million, or $1.25 per share, a year earlier. On an adjusted basis, the No. 2 airline by passenger traffic earned 82 cents per share. Total operating revenue fell to $9.46 billion from $9.50 billion. They used to be. They've stepped up their game in the past few years in a big way.

Let's be honest United, Delta, and American are all subpar.

Last year I was on a United flight and the Pilot left our bags sitting on the ground because it was taking to long to load them. I got to PEK and didn't see my luggage for 3 days.

But Trump is fat. That would be quite hypocritical.

I have noticed American trying to upgrade their fleet but rarely fly them. Mainly because they don't do a lot of stuff out of Memphis.

A lot of the overseas airlines are starting to uograde their fleets with upgraded 777, A380, and the 787. All of which provide a much more comfortable flight experience when you are in the air for 14 hrs.

I flew Delta from Detroit to Beijing in November and they used an old worn out A330 with 4 bathrooms. There were 200 people on the flight and that bathroom was ridiculous by the end of the flight.

Love Delta. Still very much don't love Trump. The Airline industry (both the manufacture and service sectors) is one of the few that has been getting legitimately screwed by unfair trade/subsidy practices by foreign governments.

Not saying Trump's actually going to do anything about, but I get the optimism.
