None of this is accurate. Or remotely accurate.

Trump was adding 1.2T annually before Covid, which was about on par with Obummer.

Exactly. People just can’t seem to understand facts. It’s really strange that they are adamant that we cut Ukraine funding, which is a rather paltry amount relative to the overall budget, yet won’t hold one of the worst deficit spending POTUSes accountable. And while I support ending Ukraine funding, it’s a drop in the bucket compared to Social Security, but we damn sure can’t reform that Shiite program according to the Trump supporters in here.

They use COVID as their excuse, completely ignoring the fact that Trump spent just as much as Obama without COVID factored in.

What’s even more interesting is that all this exorbitant spending occurred when, according to Trump supporters, “there were no wars” and the economy was “the greatest in the history of mankind.”

Its all so ironic.

Man I’m so psyched to vote this November.

Reagan tripled the debt and took us from being owed money to owing money. He started the massive spending and it hasn’t stopped since.

Voters keep sending failed people back to DC.

While true, the POTUS is leader of his party and puts out a budget, and is supposed to set the agenda.

When you have zero leadership, Congress has no will power to cut.

The debt will continue to explode no matter who the president is. The actual president really can't do much to stop it at this point

Start by maybe saying something about it? Something? Anything? A warning about what it’ll lead to? Maybe why we shouldn’t be printing cash and sending it to Ukraine? Israel? Start by giving a damn instead of accelerating toward the collapse and telling everyone “this is fine”.

There’s a reason that the peons are going into Costco of all places and trading their SchittDollars for gold to the tune of 2 billion per year. They know what’s coming, and DC does too. It’s just that DC doesn’t give a frick.

1) Another set of data -- debt impact due to legislation signed / exec orders moving forward is helpful as well

2) Trump did some solid things as President. Controlling debt wasn't one of them.

This is it. Neither candidate says nothing about the most important issue facing the country. Zero, zilch, nada.

How much is interest factored in with budgets?

Larger debt interest payments make it harder for each congress and the following President

President can only do so much

We're almost to 1 Trillion in interest annually

Right. Because it benefits them.

The last 4 guys have been running their economies on debt.

Which potential candidate would address the debt in your opinion?

The answer to that question is yes. I would leave out “single handedly,” but he is the one that drove the policies that did it. If Carter is re-elected it never happens.

But at least DeSantis had the balls to talk about it. Your Orange hero says nothing. He is afraid.
