But for the hooker scandal, I certainly see no problem with him.

The fact that he was all in for Fat Boy Nungesser killed Vitter for me.

What you need to understand is that Vitter lives for one thing and one thing only, himself. He puts party principle, and everything else aside in the interest of himself. He has no allies and burns bridges wherever he goes. Also, him and Jindal hate each other (hence his endorsement of Nungesser).

I kind of respect Vitter, in a way, for that. At least he doesn't pretend to care, like Jindal, when he really doesn't. Jindal is the king of "reforms" that really don't do anything tangible but check off a box for his national electability (see Vouchers, Ethics reforms, replacing the income tax, mary jane legalization, ect. All give the illusion of great reform without really fixing anything). Vitter doesn't give a shite, doesn't pretend to give a shite, and is almost respectable in that.

Dude has gotten ZERO accomplished while in this Senate. Nada, nil, ziltch, NOTHING.

I really do not want to vote for this man. Please do not make me make that choice.

He is a complete waste of time.

Why would you have to? Plenty of people are running.

Hopefully one will be a viable alternative to Vitter, otherwise I will need to consider him. I don't want that.

John Bel Edwards and Jay Dardenne are both running for sure. I'd say they are both some of the better candidates for Governor that Louisiana has seen in a while from a competency standpoint, whatever one thinks of their politics.

I don't know Edwards. Dardenne is a possibility. Let's see how things shake out.

Me too. Vitter is all about Vitter and his image. I am a conservative but I will vote for a Democrat if Vitter is the last man standing on the Right.

I am not sure anyone can fix Louisiana. Everyone talks about "Change" for the better but no one truly deliver. The question for me is why exactly does Vitter want to be Governor ?

I will not vote for him period.

Well at least Edwin Edwards didn't have to pay for his sex. I wish Mitch Landrieu would fun for governor, but DeLesseps never won in his runs for governor.

Aren't there any descendants of Huey or Earl who want to be in politics?

Well he certainly let everyone down and significantly damaged his integrity with his actions but we're now about 12 years past. Is he done for life in your book?

As a public official Yes! If your making laws that govern me and can't live by those same laws your done in my book.

As just another person, I don't care if he is still chasing hookers.

You'd vote for a serial killer if he had an elephant next to his name.

State Sen. Gerald Long, a Republican. Think he's a nephew or something. Absolutely useless, but I believe he declared about a year ago his intention to run for Gov.
