Kind of lonely in here. Does the Left do anything wrong? Anything poorly? Anything?
The New Left was never a movement that was equipped to perform self-assessment in order to evaluate an agenda of traditional goals/ends/objectives. By "traditional", I mean what reasonable people would agree are the traditional ends/objectives that we, as a society, need to achieve in order to promote the general welfare.
The New Left was always a movement dedicated to the singular goal of consolidation of political power by any means necessary. The means they have used are what you'd expect from agitators and propagandists whose goal it is to overthrow the mainstream culture and replace it with a New Left culture.
They've done well, so far, in both the consolidation of political power and the subversion of our traditional mores and norms.
I would not expect the New Left to, at this point in history, to make public any list of self-confessed failures or defects.
In their view, the New Left Person is the Perfect Being, and, we must all endeavor to be like this Perfect Being.
That's my "big picture" take on it, anyway.
