It's like a battle of semantics. Trump keeps saying "we're only going after the criminals", knowing he means anybody here illegally. (Which I'm all for) And the left keeps saying "we have no problem deporting the criminals" knowing they mean "people who commit crimes AFTER they commit a crime"

No because criminal illegals are immigrants that are illegal and have committed a crime here. The only crime an illegal immigrant has committed is trying to make the best of their life. Criminal illegals have to go.

My observation on this issue hit me while looking at articles last week. During the Obama administration, the media line was: OBAMA ADMINISTRATION HAS DEPORTED MORE ILLEGALS THAN ANY OTHER ADMINISTRATION.
Now that Trump is in office and he (in my opinion) strategically ordered a round up of criminal illegal aliens that have committed felonies while being in the country as ILLEGAL ALIENS. What do you see from the media? They are now putting a human face on these targetted in the round ups. See here:

In the course of a little over a month, the media has gone from we are so tough on illegals to OH THE HUMANITY!
Truly amazing to watch from a distance where you can appreciate the obvious change in perspective of the coverage.
