I was there 7 or 8 years ago and it looked more complete then that that photo looks.
But I was at a different angle - could see thru the hole under the arm.
Just remember it looking further along than that pic.

Borglum wanted to finish Mount Rushmore with the figures carved from the waste up. The government said no.
Borglum also sculpted the North Carolina monument at Gettysburg.

Saw it on vacation about 25 years ago. Not much has changed. Granted the face is more polished, but this thing really is dragging by.

they need to take whats already done down. you don't build monuments to losers who fought against this country. at least that's what I have been told countless times by liberals.
